Counting Threads - Patty's website

This is a piece I worked on during my train ride this past summer. I finished the main part on September 3, 2007, as we pulled into Grand Junction, Colorado.

Once that was complete, however, I decided I wanted to document where and when I completed the original design. So redesigned the piece a little bit, adding the outer border with my name, date completed, the name of the train I was on and the station we were pulling into as I placed the last stitch.

This piece was stitched on linen using overdyed silk threads, DMC cotton floss, perle cotton floss, Mill Hill beads, heart embellishments and paillettes as accents.
